MIT Sea Grant is looking for your feedback!

Fill out the SeaPerch ROV Survey here and contribute your feedback

Over the past decade, the SeaPerch ROV education project has spread across the country and overseas, creating a vibrant community of ROV builders.  MIT Sea Grant is now seeking your assistance in guiding the future direction of the SeaPerch ROV education project at MIT.

If you have built or used the SeaPerch ROV we would love to hear from you.  The following survey (link above) is intended to provide a chance for you, a SeaPerch ROV user, to give us feedback on the project and the kind of support that you would like to see in the future.  Please take the time to fill out this survey and feel free to pass it on to others you know who use the project as well.

We greatly appreciate your feedback and thank you for your time.

Join the Sea Perch Network

Feb 05 2013

Greetings Sea Perch ROV users.  I have just created two mailing lists, hosted through MIT, to help build a more collaborative network of Sea Perch educators.  I have heard many great ideas and lessons related to Sea Perch and am hoping these lists can help share the wonderful experience you all have.    The two lists are described below and this information has been added to the contact page.

SeaPerch-Discuss: provides a forum for educators involved in the Sea Perch ROV project to talk informally about education ideas, issues, and questions.  Click here to subscribe.
SeaPerch-Announce: provides announcements related to Sea Perch ROV, marine science, and ocean engineering related K-12 Education opportunities for educators and students.  Click here to subscribe.

Hope you all are able to join and please pass on information about the mailing list to others who may be interested.

- Kathryn (MIT Sea Grant Engineering Education Coordinator)

Welcome to the SeaPerch @ MIT Blog

Welcome to the SeaPerch @ MIT Blog!

Our mission is pretty simple; share whats new in the world of SeaPerch Engineering Education. Here at the MIT Sea Grant College Program, we develop and run a variety of programs designed help share knowledge and skills related to Ocean Engineering.  One such program is the SeaPerch ROV, a simple underwater vehicle that has proved to be a wonderful hands-on tool for k-12 education.  The SeaPerch Blog, is aimed at helping MIT Sea Grant, as well as the greater community of SeaPerch builders share their projects, knowledge, and ideas.
